Jacqueline O’Bryant

Diversity & Inclusion Manager AT Autozone


In 2017, Jacqueline O’Bryant joined AutoZone as its first Diversity & Inclusion Manager where she serves as a member of the Diversity & Talent Development Team.  In this role, she partners with corporate leadership, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders to develop strategies that attract, retain, and professionally develop diverse talent across the organization.  Jacqueline’s efforts to drive workforce diversity include diversity training and communications, data reporting, advising key stakeholders, and managing the development and operation of AutoZone’s women’s and young professionals’ business resource groups.

Prior to joining AutoZone, Jacqueline led diversity initiatives at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law as Diversity Coordinator and Director of the Tennessee Institute for Pre-Law. During her tenure, the law school saw historic increases in diversity and received several awards and recognitions, including the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.  The law school was one of five law schools in the country to receive this award.  As a result of her achievements in diversity, Jacqueline was awarded the President’s Award from the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association.

Prior to joining the University of Memphis School of Law, Jacqueline served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 6th Judicial District of Arkansas and as In-House Counsel for Alltel Communications in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She is a native of Madison, Mississippi and received her BA summa cum laude from Alcorn State University and her JD with honors from the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law. Jacqueline is married to Sam O’Bryant, III, and together they have three children.
